Team San Carlos acts only as a Buyer's Agency. We do not represent Sellers or homes for sale. Therefore, you can be assured that we will represent your best interests only. Also, because we represent buyers only, you can be assured that we know how to properly title your property. This is extremely important in Mexico. We coordinate the closing process using a U.S. escrow company and a Mexican Notario to insure that, whether you are a U.S. citizen or Canadian, your title is legal and permanent.
San Carlos: Mexico's Best Kept Secret
Thanks to its many miles of beautiful coastline and warm weather, Mexico is blessed with many spectacular resort destinations. Acapulco, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Cancun are probably among the best known. However, along with notoriety and popularity come high rise condos, high population density and high prices. There is an opportunity to discover Mexico's next resort before the crowds come in and drive the prices up.
San Carlos is Mexico's newest budding resort. It's not just a fishing village anymore because some people have already discovered its charm. If you check the map, you'll see that it's located 250 miles south of the U.S. Border on the Sea of Cortez. Jacques Cousteau once called the Sea of Cortez, the world's largest aquarium because of the huge variety of fish it shelters. And, if you just observed the color of blue in the water, you would swear you were in the Caribbean. For these reasons, San Carlos is best known for its sport fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, scuba, snorkeling, windsurfing, swimming and sailing.
However, San Carlos has more to offer than the sea. Much like San Diego, CA, the mountains of Mexico run right into the Sea of Cortez at San Carlos. Many spectacular views are available from these mountains upon which houses are just beginning to be built. So, outdoor sports abound here, including: golf, tennis, hiking, biking, horseback riding and anything you can think of that can be done in a great climate.
